Medical Appointment Transportation

As with all of our transportation services, cars are made available to you or a loved one by appointment. We suggest you call a day or so in advance for smaller local service needs of this type, to assure yourself of the car at the exact time you need it. We will transport you to any medical facility you wish.

When making your appointment, please apprise our representative of any medical conditions of which we should be aware. If you are unable to negotiate a step, for instance, we should know that so that we assign an appropriate vehicle.

Please be advised that although Freedom Services transports non-ambulatory passengers, we do not have wheelchair lifts in our vehicles. All non-ambulatory passengers must be transferable from wheelchair to car with minimal assistance from the driver.

Refer to The Fleet for a look at our vehicles. Cars rather than vans are generally chosen for those in need of local medical transportation.

Rates are hourly in increments of 5 minutes, with a minimum time commitment of only one half hour.

Returns can be handled three ways:

  1. You may have the car remain with you, which we recommend if your appointment is one hour or less in duration.
  2. You may set up a pre-determined return time, perhaps two or three hours later, which we recommend for appointments of greater duration.
  3. You may call for us by phone if you truly have no idea how long your appointment will last; however, because we are an appointment based service we can offer no guarantees of timely availability with "will call" returns.

Choose options one or two if you are dependent upon our medical transportation to get you home. Choose option three if you don't mind waiting or finding alternative means.
